Learning Outcomes
- Apply and critique process safety implementation standards and frameworks.
- Evaluate the role of strategic leadership in risk-based process safety.
- Review the impact of COVID-19 on organizational process safety culture.
- Understand and apply principles of inherently safer design (ISD) in process safety.
- Analyze process safety incidents using HAZOP and related techniques.
- Manage strategic risks in organizational process safety domains.
- Assess the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning in process safety management.
- Evaluate competency development and culture in process safety management.
Entry Criteria
This qualification is designed to be accessible to all learners with relevant experience or education. Admission may be based on the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
- Degree/Diploma in Chemical, Instrumentation, or Mechanical discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience
- NVQ Diploma Level 6
- European Safety Council’s Int. Diploma in HSE (Qualifi endorsed)
- NEBOSH International Diploma
Candidates without formal qualifications but with significant experience may be considered upon interview and demonstration of capability to meet course requirements.
Assessment Criteria
- Modules can be attempted and submitted electronically from any workstation.
- Assessments are accepted via email and reviewed by the assessor.
- Learners may work on modules in any preferred order.
- Submissions must reflect original work; plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
- Content uniqueness must be at least 85%, verified through plagiarism tools like Turnitin.
- Each submission undergoes assessor feedback until it meets the required criteria.
